Hello! I'm new to the forum, and new to Porsche, and wanted to say hello.
I've been drawn to the 911 from an early age, when I saw a classic Carerra with its iconic spoiler belonging to a distant family friend. With 996 prices so low, the end of the naturally aspirated 911 upon us, and the rarity of manual transmissions on newer vehicles, I was sure that if I wanted to have the 911 experience, there would never be a better time. I've been keeping an eye out for several months now for a basic 2wd Carerra that could supplement my WRX, something with a solid higher-mileage drivetrain, also that I could take to the track and not have to worry if I'd be able to drive home or not. (The WRX is somewhat less than factory-original)
I found something even better, and am now the owner of a nearly immaculate 2003 996 Targa, with 48k miles. Speed yellow with full black leather interior (I love the yellow stitching). I'm absolutely ecstatic about it and hope to be around for a long time to come. My biggest issue with the car is that it is simply far too clean!
And now for what I'm sure you're here to see, the pictures:

Thanks for the welcome and the compliments! I'd be curious to know if the previous owner is around here. I feel like it's too well maintained for him/her to not be an enthusiast.
