Thumbs up 996 Fastener Specification Books Now Available! Get 10% off this week!

I seldom advertise here, but this one is worth the mention.

I am very happy to release the only directive for fastener (torque) specs for the entire 996! Thats right, not just the engine, we have compiled all the torques for the entire vehicle into one book!

This is a 150 page guide that covers the entire vehicle, engine, manual, and tiptronic transaxle, suspension, axles, steering, clutch, wheels, brakes, body, you name it! Models that are covered are all Carrera and Turbo models, and some specific GT3 specs as well, though not the entire GT3 is covered.

The specs for all IMS our IMS related products are also found in this book.

No more looking through workshop manuals for torques that may have been superseded for a decade, no more wondering what each fastener's length or diameter is; its all laid out in order of sub- assembly, through illustrated parts breakdowns, and can be found within seconds! Anyone who has ever looked for torque values for these cars, and engines knows what a challenge this can be, as these are not easy to find at all.

For more details see this page on the The Knowledge Gruppe page, and sign up for the December M96 102 Engine Rebuild School while you are there! The Knowledge Gruppe will be the source for all our resource materials, and classes moving forward.

Order your 996 Fastener Specification Guide here, use promo code "torque10" to receive your 10% Rennlist Discount, good through October 20. This is a pre- order, however the books are printing now, and will ship ASAP, on, or before 10/20
http://www.theknowledgegruppe.com/in...96-automobile/

Here's a sample of the illustrated parts breakdowns, and torque tables. Books measure 5X7" and fit perfectly into any tool box, or glove box!

The $15 shipping is a bit painful

I think Amazon Prime has spoiled me big time...

Think about it guys....this is half the cost of a DIY oil change. It'll pay for itself in no time unless you like snapping bolt heads or stripping threads on alum components.

True, but the only one I have torqued off (so far) was at the recommended 7 ftlbs

A few hundred were sold today... Once people receive them and the word gets around about how complete they are, no one will complain about what it costs.

We tend to try to keep business within the Porsche industry, so these books are going through the same distribution as the components, and tools we develop. Amazon doesn't keep mom and pop Porsche shops afloat.

Oh I didn't hesitate, I ordered mine last night (even though I don't do much DIY I still like having information like this). Just saying the shipping was painful

This is well worth it.

I just somewhat refreshed my engine; this would of saved me hours and hours of searching for the information.

I wish it was around 4 weeks ago; this is a great addition to the Porsche workshop manual, wayne's 996 101 project.

Thank you for putting this together.

Ok someone's gonna ask so I might as well. Does this also include torque values for the gas cap and wheel bolts?

Does it have torque specs for the loose nut behind the wheel?
