This is good news. If you are happy with the results, can you tell us who you took it to?

Also: I am dying to know what you think the crank/wheel HP of your setup is. I would love to 4.0 my car...turn it into a kind of 996 GTS.

Great news! Makes a lot of sense with the lean code.

I was afraid you might have some trouble selling it while still throwing code. Bummer

So what are the chances that once these things get resolved that you go ahead and hang on to it since the headaches will be resolved?

So hopefully the repairs will take care of the codes. Why sell it after it is good to go? Enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Wow! I wonder how that "O ring" got so damaged?...How much did the diagnosis/fix cost you? How did they find the leak, smoke, carb cleaner, etc...? Glad you got it sorted

instalation error on my part. not sure how I messed it up because I was trying to be very careful with those gaskets.

the garage is Metric Auto in Ottawa. they smoke tested the engine and found the leaks that way. was about 4-5 hours labor total.

That's great news!! Looks like it's burnt? Did they find anything more than what you mentioned in post #465 and have you got the car back yet?

And I drove it home from the garage last night. There's no more hesitation at all while cruising along...only about 55km's since everything was fixed. its supposed to be nice this weekend, so I will try and get more miles on it this weekend.

Congrats. Hopefully you'll get a good problem free drive out of it this weekend and it will start to make it all worthwhile.

I also had this piece leaking. The o-ring inside that funnel just dried up and turned into plastic. The whole piece needed to be replaced as the o-ring is not available separately.

Really glad to hear you got it sorted!!

I think we need a sticky "List of small plastic parts and gaskets you should replace to avoid a ****ty experience"
