No relation, but this seems like a screaming deal on a very clean C4S.

Only thing I can see in a quick look is it needs motor mounts, and silver is a bit boring. Throw the HVAC down to the bottom and put in a modern BT head unit and I think you'd have a hell of a car.

The gap between the exhaust tips and bumper facia are usually a little tighter.

I'd be super interested to see the sticker on this car. It's almost guaranteed (from the factory) to have the small CF kit, which is the instrument surround, the trim between the upper and lower dash and the horsehoe, and the shifter as a separate option. I would guess the console, air vents and door sills are aftermarket but the look pretty good. The steering wheel is definitely not factory, it looks different from mine, but again it looks pretty darn good. I'd be all over this car, most dealers would have it from $28-34 in the current market. Law suit data from this year was a 4.5% failure rate on IMS, no way I'd bother doing it until it was time for a new clutch.
1. buy the car
2. Remove the front plate abd buy bumper plugs
3. apologize to the car for having its front plate on
4. get new semi solid motor mounts, I absolutely love my torque solution ones
5. smoked side markers
6. a SONY Ax1000 android auto headunit and relocation kit
7. Very nivce detail
8. drive it like you stole it
Edit: actually I think the steering wheel is stock, i think the flash just lits it up and makes it look different that real life

Nopers, even these non-mezger engines go to about 250k. They definitely seem to explode at 250k though.

Wow, so it sounds a lot like the air-cooled guys as they are pretty open to brag about the crazy miles they can get on those as well. Maybe it's the overall engine design that allows the Porsche motors from Air-Cooled days to Water-Cooled to go so long.

But I don't mind rolling up my sleeves and working on the vehicles myself. It'd be a different story if I had to pay someone to work on everything.
For me, it seems that there is a point in every aging vehicle's life where it becomes more cost and hassle to keep it roadworthy than it is to just buy a newer example. Most 80-90k mile 996es aren't there yet.

if that is just your experience that’s fine — I was just wondering.
