Thanks! I'm a super tire snob, and I just wanted to point out specifically what tires I choose.
I know what m030 is, but the description is from Porsche options code list..its what they call it
the dash crease is in the interior pic. I would say 99% of people may not even notice it.

My first question as a potential buyer would be if you've done the 60k service.

I've decided to sell my 996. Can you guys critique my ad?

My wife and I are expecting a 2nd kid, and that will leave me no real time to drive the P car, so I bought an F80 M3 as a replacement.

- "natural full leather" is a little confusing - 'natural' to me means the shade of brown that's the interior of my ME. Obviously one look at the pictures is all a prospective buyer needs, but still.
- "it's been a left coast car it's whole life" - that second apostrophe is redundant
Very nice looking car, GLWS (and good luck with the new arrival too!)

Nicely written ad - lots of info there. Two thoughts, with apologies for the pedantry:

Doh! Will re-add that pic.

Have anyone seen a decent 996 in Texas? I'm looking to get my 1st Porsche and the 996 is what I'm interested in. I haven't been able to find any decent one for sale in TX. I've read the 2002 and up would be the best model to get, is this true and why?

As I have learned, all the 996s built between 1998 and 2005 have their pluses and minuses. I started looking for a 2002 - 2004 coupe and ended up with an early production 1999 coupe. I noticed it in the local Craigslist and went to take a look. I did everything you are not supposed to do prior to purchasing, knew better, but bought it anyway. I didn't test drive it because the battery was nearly dead (bad ground and alternator), I did get to hear the engine run, all the idiot lights were lit due to the low battery, and I didn't get a PPI. I trailered it home and fixed the ground and alternator issue. It has been a great car and I am very pleased with it. Read some of the sticky threads and learn about the differences between the model years and varieties.

Considering the dash and the airbag are the same color, I'm guessing that the grey steering wheel that likely came with the car was swapped out due to discolored/torn leather... And the black wheel was probably the only or cheapest they could find locally.
Rear badge delete was a thing... I've seen many 996's without badging on the back lid.

Is this a deal killer?

Not to me at the price they are asking, but I would want to talk them down a little. It shows two accidents within a week of each other in 2014, but the first accident has no information. It is likely they are the same accident. I would look the car over very carefully to see how well the repairs were made. Look in the door jams to see if there is any buckled metal. Did the whole car get repainted? That could be a plus. For 10 or 11k, you could end up with a fun driver that you won't be scared to drive. Some people won't buy a car with accident damage and if you plan on keeping it as a garage queen and not driving it much, then this is probably not a car for you.
For reference, I bought a Mustang GT that had eight prior owners, had been repossessed, and had similar accident damage. I just recently gave it to a friend who needed a car and it was running great. I had it for over 8 years and had almost no issues with it.

Actually I'm more concerned about the "rear impact with another vehicle, moderate damage". I don't know if this means he was rear ended or if he rear ended someone. My guess is that he was rear ended and explains the aftermarket air intake and lack of rear badge. Good news is that this happened back on 2002, so there's been lots of miles since then.

Vincent T.-Keep in mind that there is nothing more expensive than a cheap Porsche!
Where in Texas are you? I purchased and 03 in March in Spring, TX.
Here is an 02 from same dealer that looks pretty nice.

No accidents on the Carfax, for whatever that is worth. Probably no service history -- looks like it's been through several hands, including a couple auctions. Nice color, gray interior looks OK. The price is probably about right for a Tiptronic, which (around here at least) goes for quite a bit less than a stick.
Personally, my preferred order of sellers probably has a outfit like this as the least desirable. They're not specialists, so they probably don't know that much about the car. I wouldn't necessarily rule this car out, but even with a good PPI it would still be somewhat of a crapshoot.
