Probably that rear wing and the text graphics on the sides...makes it look more juvenille

The graphics kill it for me...but I think the wood accents, conservatively used, look pretty good. Car looks like it is in excellent cosmetic shape. Not sure why someone buys an LN bearing and just holds onto it. I'da probably painted the screens over the radiator inlets black, myself.

Here's a $13k 1999 high miler near me with a clean title. I may do a drive-by tomorrow.
Only the brave need apply.

Car was outside so had a fine coating of pollen over it but overall Body/paint was better than I expected, seemed straight without major scratches/dents. Biggest flaw I could find was one of the ltttle roof rack doors wasn't flush. Tires were mismatched Michelin/kumhos, but didn't see any rash on the wheels.
Interior looked good with the typical patina fine cracks in the seats, but no rips or tears. The black and gray steering wheel is a curiosity, there's probably a story there that needs to be told.
Couldn't start or drive the car so a real evaluation wasn't possible, but didn't see any drips or puddles underneath.

Seriously thinking about this one...

I suspect the cheezy CF is covering cracked wood accents.

I did look at it Sunday, but the dealership was closed so it was visual only, and I'm a total noob to these cars, so keep that in mind.

Could the airbag have been deployed?
May have had some paint work done as the badges on the lid have been removed...

Rear badge delete was a thing... I've seen many 996's without badging on the back lid.
