My first color choice would be Cassisrot from the 87 928. After that, any of the metallic reds, then guards red, then cobalt blue, speed yellow and the array of darker blues down the scale. Speed yellow over tan on the C2 cars with aero are likely the most striking car with red calipers and color wheel crests. Do want.

If docs car had the factory aero package I'd be hell bent on bringing him every penny. It has all the options I'd want, but the interior color is not ideal for guards red to me. The car I am likely getting has black all leather with guards red and the 030 suspension.

Paying fir hollowspokes is cool but I'm a custom wheel guy. And if I got docs car I'd have to keep the hollowspokes too since they are original.

Imagine a GR same options with black interior and factory aero pkg.... that'd be my dream 996 but I can't hold my breath for it.

If it was factory aero, I'd be asking more. Also, the factory aero is heavier. I have another non-factory engine hatch/wing. It's a big wide wing deal in red. It looks better with the taco.

My advice as always, get what you really want. It's gotta make you happy.

Seller doesn't have it listed as such, but Millennium Edition #408 appears to have a tiptronic tranny and is for sale! Located about an hour south of me...

Pretty. Aero yes, sport no. Looks like a RED car to me though. Maybe my glasses are messed up.

Not sure at the asking price it really qualifies as a CL "find", but it's all relative.

Also, seriously doubt anyone would poach a car from you on here. I can't vouch for everyone personally, but it's a pretty fair bunch of folk. I posted my 'find' up the day after I spotted it, and it took me 3 weeks to get it corralled. No one tried to undercut me, but hey - could happen I guess.

That's pretty sweet! Even if it looks like they used ArmorAll on all the leather surfaces...

I've always wanted a week long getaway with a blonde, brunette and redhead trio of models..... can you arrange that? I'm not sure I'd get my wife's okay on that one though.

Its also a supply and demand issue. Demand for high priced used luxury items is quite low. Common cars from the same era are 10% as much and are in much higher demand. There are lots of 996s being chased by very few buyers at any given moment.
