That price is low for that car which suggests there is more to its story. The limited pics and description bolster that impression.
If you aren't prepared for $5k+ of work shortly after purchase, make sure that someone that knows the 996s well looks it over real well for you.
I'd say that with the season getting ready to turn and that mileage, it should be at least 18k and possibly as much as 22k.

This car looks like it could be pretty well optioned - Litronics, heated seats, 3 spoke wheel - but you'll need to ask all the usual questions about its service history and go from there.
Check the top closely ... that's a fairly big ticket if it needs repair, as "repair" usually means "replace."
Since it's a MY2000, pay close attention to the build date (earlier is better, higher odds of a dual row IMSB).

Only one I know of is SpeedSportTuning in Danbury. Miller Motorcars might be willing to do it but it's my understanding they sell everything in the exotic car market. There's a Porsche dealer in greenwich and a quick google search brings up someone called Morton Competition. I know nothing about either.

I'm more into the Classic Mini market. A few weeks ago, a car went for almost $13k that in my opinion, wasn't more than an $8k car. There wasn't anything special about it. Another time a $5k Mini went for about $8k. Again, nothing special about the car. It had some big rust concerns too. It's my opinion that the black 996 C4 converted into a C2 should have gone for $18-20k but it went for $24k. The seller did all the work (engine swap and other major work) himself and admitted to not being any type of expert mechanic. The problem is people use that site when pricing their cars so now you see cars listed on forums going up too. Great for sellers, not great for someone who isn't looking to pay over market value for a car.

If the cars are selling for that price, then guess what? That is now market price. It's almost always better to have bought last month than to buy next month- especially if it's a 911

That guy must have been doing some lines or sippin' a little too much of grandma's medicine when he typed in that price.

Buy from private party who never heard of BaT....
Repeat (if desired)
All of the work is in the PPI and cleaning up what is found...
