Haven't we seen that motor in this thread before?

Who sells a working motor out of a 996? If you want to do a motor swap, sell the complete car and get a roller.

Yea, it does make you wonder why would he drop a supposedly "good motor" out of a 996 unless he's planning on doing something radical to the rest of the car or if there is something wrong that he doesn't want to admit or reveal. Agree.. it's fishy!

Looks like a decent deal. I'm not familiar with the shop that replaced the engine though.

Go on. You need a Cab to complement your coupes.

Remember, you can stop any time you'd like...

Slakker, you buy the car and I'll buy the wheels from you. Those are the Carrera IV 18" wheels. That's what I've been looking for, but haven't found a good deal yet. Carrera III are ok, but the IV version is better IMHO.

Ya, we missed an opportunity there. Good find on your part. I just couldn't even think about buying another one right but it would have been a money maker.

Yea, I know... you got too many 996 irons in the fire at the moment, but it was worth a try. I was hoping you'd need the engine or other parts. As you know, I bought those Carrera II type wheels, but have decided to keep looking for the IV version because that's really what I want. There was a guy that listed some in Atlanta, but I couldn't get him to meet because he was in the midst of moving. He pulled the listing and so I'm assuming someone hooked up with him and bought them on the spot. They were a steal at only $600 a set and they had tires on them. Easy come, easy go.

b3: strangely, not a single bid. I thought surely someone would shoot for the low money.

High miles (109K) but, the price is pretty reasonable and the car appears clean;

What's wrong with this one?
60k miles, 6 speed, factory aerokit, highly optioned, best colors, dual row bearing

I didn't catch that there wasn't a bid. I wonder if there is a way to get ahold of the owner.
