Default cup holders!!

So I am the (new) proud owner of an 04 C4S cab - that I use as my daily driver and I have gotten a ton of useful info from the boards - did the PSE mod and am waiting on parts for my Garage Door opener and a few other things to make the car a bit more friendly as a DD - but my #1 issue is a cup holder that could hold a water bottle and not let it going flying around during my 'spirited' commute to work!

I know some of you smart folks will have done this and I would love to see photos. I saw at least one that was mounted on the passenger side foot well that looks interesting but can't find the photo now -

Thanks in advance everyone!

That looks awesome Marc - can I ask how you mounted it & where you sourced the part?

Snapped off a retaining clip in the factory cup holder in my '02 yesterday. It has always been a bit sticky and recalcitrant anyway so I decided to look into a replacement part... dcAuto wants $615.00 for a bloody used one!

I'm going to call Sunset, but I fear that sucker will remain sticky and kinda broken for a good while.

I never use the factory one, I hate where it's located.

under $10 at AutoZone. Slides in between passenger seat and centre console. Holds two large cups and garage opener or cell phone.

Ooof. That looks awful. Looks like a Mcdonalds cardboard drink holder stuffed in the middle of a sports car.

But, if it's functional for you, I guess it's better than spilled coffee.

Oh sorry. I didn't know we were looking for the best looking coffee pot holders. BTW it's plastic not cardboard and works very well indeed. OH and it didn't cost over $600 either. God what do you guys want for under $10 I ask you?

I tried the factory cupholders, but locations sucked, I found the only really useful (and tasteful, sorry hurdi your cupholder looks awful as does your billboard on the back of your otherwise nice 996) cupholder to be the same one Marc uses, the ultimate cupholder. Love it!

Lousy cupholders is just Porsche's way of telling you that they disapprove of you having a beverage while you drive.
