I have the 2 cup holders above my center air vents on my 02 996.
Whenever I get coffee I tell them to leave about 3 inches of room at the top.
Apparently people don't know what 3 inches means because the cup is always full!
I learned to skip the "leave room" part and just dump out the coffee myself.

German Engineering=Cup holders directly in front of the air vents. This way your cup of coffee blocks the cold air on a hot day while simultaneously reducing the temp of a perfect cup of coffee by 30 degrees in 5 minutes!

I popped out the cartridge and soaked mine in plain water - they aren't stiky at all now and operate smoothly. Still going to order the one Marc linked, hubby loves it. @ Hurdi ... that is scary mate. You realize we can't *un-see* that frankenholder?
