Feeler....Thinking of selling my 2002 996C4S....price opinions

I think he should just go at $38K but make sure he advertises in Canada. The U.S. economy seems pretty terrible right now with no hope in sight, but in Canada you'll likely get a fast sale (and up here, when people buy a Porsche they pay cash for it - none of this financing nonsense). I would list on sites like craig's, Kijiji (what e Bay classifieds are known as in Canada), and autotrader ca. Make sure you mention in your ad that you welcome Canadian buyers, and you'll be set. Good luck!

I gotta say though - you just can't compare them like that. Maybe that X50 has had the crap driven out of it, was driven by a smoker, or someone with bad B.O. In my car-buying life it has happened LOTS of times where I've had the option of a car that would have been better when new - but have picked the other car.

FWIW, there seems to be another 996 X50TT for under $38k on 6speedonline - not good news for people trying to sell their C4S for almost 40k.

Perhaps this car is a dog and priced incorrectly for the miles according to the tone of this thread but I think it is close enough to get some offers for an 04

I sold my 2002 C4S a year ago for $38,000 in Vancouver. That was tough, but it had been for sale for 5 months. 68,000 kms, new rubber, brakes, clutch, no IMS fix, in great shape. Imported from the US in June 2005, paid $50k US, exchange rate at the time was 1.12.
