An aquantance had an IMS bearing failure and was offered $700 (cash) for his MY00 996 "as is" by the dealer where it had been towed. I think that might be it in the photo above. They could have at least sold the wheels and tires on ebay.

Are you kidding? Places like LA Dismantlers could probably get close to 7-10k once they part everything out.
