Default Radio gone bad?

Driving home today my radio started misbehaving. Since this forum has a strict "if you can't provide pictures it didn't happen" rule I broke out my cell and captured a video since I was stopped in traffic due to an accident on the HWY. I have to admit I only switched to FM since the CD changer was acting up. Maybe someone was trying to give me a message

I can't help with the radio, but, as you say, I've seen something similar in a movie where someone is trying to communicate through a radio or TV. The movie, The Game, comes to mind.

Anyway, good luck.

i have the same problem occasionally. my CDR23 radio can't hang on to the radio station and it flips back and forth.

it also has problems with loss of audio.
i think the radio stinks.
there was a tsb, but I dont' qualify for it since I'm not the original owner and its not under original warranty.

i have an extended warranty and will eventually use that when it gets bad enough.

Did start to behave on it's own or is it still posessed? When mine does that I have to pull both radio fuses and reinsert them to reboot the system.

Seems to be behaving now. Perhaps it had to do with all the emergency equipment on the HWY and thier communication frequencies?

Similar thing happened and tech told me the radio gets into a goofy state. To fix I can remove the radio fuse -- 'big red switch' kind of thing -- or turn off the car for IIRC 30 minutes after which the radio system is completely powered down (another variation of the big red switch). And I have been told there's a fix but I don't know what it is exactly, but seem to recall, or imagined it but anyway involves some sort of radio firmware upgrade.

Sincerely,

Macster.

My tech told me my radio has the latest firmware. And it still acts goofy. Hoping it goes kablooey before my extended warranty expires.

Another problem with the radio today. I would turn the **** and the station wouldn't change....then when I looked down I realized the cigarette lighter probably wasn't designed to change the radio station..dumba#@.
