McCord AirForce Base. At least I had something to drive, while baby sitting my son's dog. You know where this is! C-17's all over the place. A C-141 on display. I used to jump these almost everyday for a year! Kinda nice to cruz the flight line!
#678 is for sale in North Carolina on Facebook Marketplace. Messaged the seller as an interested buyer and ran the VIN to find it was passed around a few times at auction with Frame Damage Reported. Though he's stated it was purchased from the Porsche Dealership and that they didn't disclose that info to him, also the Carfax doesn't show any of those details.

Man, that sucks. I in 2018 I bought a 2010 Sprinter van from a Mercedes dealer that had only 55k miles. When I sold it to CarMax they showed and told me it had frame damage. Nothing in the CarFax, nothing from the dealer.
A buddy of mine who works for Allstate told me this happens WAAAAAAAAAY more often than anybody realizes and is the reason, in his opinion, “CarFax is a useless and total bull**** tool as anybody can just get it repaired and not have it reported.”

I gave it some though and I ran the same Vin as this guy did on the same website he did and nothing came back, I told him that maybe he ran the wrong vin. Also in the post it doesn’t have my vin or car information he claims in the picture. And he only has 1 post ? Hmmmm I’m wondering if he is trying to sabotage my sale. I’ve had the car for 6 yrs it’s been a great car. If anyone wants to run the Vin for me please IM me. Thank you 👍
Definitely not my intent to sabotage your sale. I've recently entered the 996 market so I'm a new rennlister. Not here to step on anyone's toes. If there's anyone interested in the car in question. Please reach out to the seller and do your own research. I was just simply sharing what I found.
Edit: with a VIN the seller provided to me twice and verified that I entered it correctly. I intentionally omitted it from the pictures in case the seller didn't want his VIN out there on the internet.

Thanks!
Ty I appreciate you clarifying your intent on here, and on my post. As far as your findings I’ve searched and there is no history of an accident on this car, I’ve had the car for over 6 yrs and it has never been in an accident at all. Anyone interested please pm me.
One item I consistently forget to check, the airfilter. Wondering why my gas mileage and performance is off. About 150,000 miles on this one. Also cleaned the mass air flow sensor. Running like a champ again!
Picked up number 1008 yesterday. 45,000 miles and in fantastic shape. Really fun car especially compared to my 2004 C4S.
Congrats! Very nice example with the sport seats and looks like you're running some larger rotors on the front. Blue calipers actually look good! #1111 here getting closer tp 100k miles and loving every mile driven. Would like to hear your thoughts comparing it to the C4S!
Here are a couple side shots to show the Girodisc rotors on the car:
As far as a comparison to my old 996 C4S, this car's suspension feels more planted along with being RWD vs AWD. I felt the C4S was very soft and floated on the highways and around corners. It had brand new suspension all around and still felt this way. The 40th feels more lively, quicker and better suspension. The X51 also helps a lot too I am sure.
