Default So whats in the box Beeoch? LNE IMS bearing

Getting ready to do the IMS retro fit to my 99.

I got the tool and bearing.. Not sure why the unsealed side of the bearing will point out. But I am sure it will be some appearant during the process.
Plus the lower temp thermo and a pix of our begging dog with her sorry look wanting a potato chip.

I believe it points out so that oil can get in.

Did your dog have a starring role in Men In Black? I think I've seen that dog before...

The unsealed side of the bearing faces out, so the bearing can be flooded with engine oil for the best proper lubrication.

I see the 2 cylinders in the second pic - I understand one is the tool to remove the old bearing. What is the second one for?

The second is the aluminum block to insert the bearing. When you go to pull the old bearing, insert a oiled washer between the large nut and the puller. If you don't the nut will want to gaul and make the puller turn in the IMS seal area. I also had to grind a bit of one ear from the IMS flange to clear the flywheel per the instructions.
