Fabspeed muffler bypass - Bad idea?
I want to hear a throaty exhaust but not aggravate the neighbors. Project is a 2000 C2, all stock, no PSE. I found some youtube clips of the Fabspeed muffler bypass pipes but that idea sounds like i might regret all the noise. I saw the mod for welding up a PSE pipe and i'm willing if that is going to be the best. Opinions?

by-pass pipes are VERY LOUD and drone like crazy in your cabin. I loved the sound but removed mine after 4 days... just too loud. Sound bytes dont give you the "real feel"
here is a vid of my PSE hack - check the other vids there are about 6 or 7
and a link to the hack

plenty of reading there - PS my hacked cans are dead silent in the neighborhood and at cruising rpm's but growl beautfully when the windows are open or I step on it... very subtle and nice

Race Car
No way I'd run them every day. Last year I kept them on for a week after one of my track days and couldn't stand driving the car on the street like that. It's soo loud that you just tip-toe around everywhere and don't even get to enjoy the car without being heard for blocks.
