Default RUMOR:Porsche to annunce fix for "Intermix Problem"

RUMOR: After many years of denying any significant intermix problem with the M96 engines, Porsche may soon announce a final solution to the non-existent problem. Working in conjunction with Mobil Oil they will soon announce a new multi-purpose fluid that serves as either/both oil for lubrication and as a coolant in the cooling system. The use of this new fluid, in conjunction with a small pump to transfer excess fluid from the oil pan to the coolant expansion tank will prove once and for all that the problem never really existed.

Porsche may state “Who cares if the fluids intermix, they are all the same! The real problem is that owners have been using the wrong fluid all along!”

Can it be true?

I doubt that Mobil is involved. I'm sure its those whacky guys who make the blinker fluid. No matter what it will only be available from dealers at 15 bucks a quart.

This is early for April 1st so your going to hell for a pre-April 1st joke attempt. Sorry - hell is the default setting. Well unless your willing to take time served by driving a magic wagon for the rest of your life.

I think the final solution always leads to a GT3 in the garage.

So they're going back to air/oil cooling...

This is the perfect fix for the engines blowing up with oil starvation. They are now using the cooling tank as a separate reservoir so then you have a sort of make shift dry sump system... Brilliant.

I was thinking the same thing!

"We must rid the M96 of all intermixing so it is more pure..."

Rumor has it that the new product will be trademarked Coolubricant. It'll also be available in a spray can for use on squeaky doors and cabinets, or for use as a non-stick cooking spray. Hell, it'll do anything.
