Thanks again guys. I will be happy to post a sound clip when I get it running. Ferdinand, mine are 14 and 16. They started helping me about 5 years ago. They are both getting pretty proficient at working on the cars and I enjoy their company. Start them young and you can raise two more car guys.

My kids and I spent some quality bonding time in the garage tonight. Here are the results. The bright work on the exterior is done (except the wheels). I also completed the first step of the paint restoration process.

Thanks guys. I'm having fun.

Chris, you must be a mind reader. I hate my garage. I have already bought the epoxy coating for my floor. I dream of fixing up my garage, to look like one in a model home (with the custom cabinets, painted walls, and epoxied floor). Someday...

I haven't checked out this forum (996) I'm glad I did. Your project really looks great, I hope to hear it running soon! What a story.

Mark:

Very interesting thread; thanks for posting. What are your pre-start plans for the engine?

Your quote should be more like:
If you don't "care" where you are going, any road will take you there.

LOL! just saying.

Your quote...JDSStudios
I actually borrowed it from Stephen Harper, who used it in a comment about the NDP. But I found out it's also been used by George Harrison, prior to him by the Guess Who, and originated with Lewis Carroll in Alice in Wonderland.

At last I get a small return on my tax dollars.
