Hey guys I'm going to point it out tomorrow as well, but as another Lister pointed out, the bikes up there pretend their heads are the brass rings at the carousel in Asbury Park. They may have their tires on their side of the road but the melon is sitting over our side of the road. It doesn't hurt to take an additional foot or two to the right of the center line. Little "thought you should know" info.

Hmmm....maybe I should put my bra on the frontend to keep bloodstains off the paint? I do have stoneguards on the headlights, wonder if they work against m/c helmets?

Snell M200/M2005 are ok with the bra, if they are wearing SA200/SA2005 you're SOL.

Well the wife said I better hit the hay. The "Rex Goliath" chardonnay is going to make my face look puffy tomorrow.......I hope you all don't mind.

and it would be a little unpleasant in an old 911 without AC.
At elevation it really wasn't that bad, I know, I was there.. Just keep wind in your sails and you will be fine, the I15 corridor is another story.

E, any thoughts on how to put the scooters up front?

Another 255 miles of grasshopper decapitating, gravel munching fun. The "period" flip-down lights are a real bonus here.

Thanks for getting this together Ed. Unfortunately I only got to meet a handful of new faces, and it's always good to see old friends.

Ed, again, great job pulling this together! That's a great route, one of the best workouts that I've been able to give my 996!

Wasn't able to hang out through lunch, but it was great meeting you guys. Gotta say, you're all some pretty good drivers, we kept a good pace out there.

I love 993s, and Javier's black Ruf is special. Also love Deano's silver 993, Ed's 911 Targa, Ben's red turbo 944 (with your woman and puppy!), hell they're all great, right?

That was indeed great fun. Thanks from me as well Ed. What a great bunch of folks, I enjoyed meeting everyone today.

I'm really enjoying this SoCal P-car thing.....

We need to make this a semi-regular (quarterly? semi-annual?) event.

On the way down, I had a clear road and one of the photogs snapped what seemed to be some great pics of my car. I'll need to Google the possible suspects to see how it turned out. I'm glad I left when I did- it was getting pretty darned warm on the way home. Hope you guys had a good lunch!

All I can say is thanks for all those who made the run today. We started with 20 cars and lost one right on the warmup road. (Marcel, hope you can make the next one.) It was more than I expected as a fun drive. No incidents, no tickets, fun driving and a great lunch to finish it off. Little on the hot side at the end....
Here are some photos that we grabbed on the camera. Little small but I'm too tired to reload larger ones!

I think I need a few upgrades to keep up with some of you boys. Maybe a K&N air filter or something.....

Anyways. I do believe that the trip is definitely worth being an annual run. A few certainly expressed a biannual affair. I'm up for that too. I think we might need to wait for cooler weather though. Thanks guys. What a way to finish the weekend!

Hello everyone,

My brother and I had a great time! Ed, thanks for putting this together.. sorry we didn't go to lunch, but my brother pooped out on me.

I'm up for making this a quarterly thing. I'm glad I got to meet so many of you... I only wish we would've had more time to get to know each other better... there's always next time, right?

I have some pics I will post later... thanks again!
