I usually don't post run info on alot of forums since the black and blue might be reading and might "attend" the run also.
I love Palomar and the last time I was there, I was running the Advan AD07s... quick tires!
I'm picky on my dates going to Palomar since it has become very popular the past few years... so depending on when you go, I might go.
I like Idyllwild nowadays.

I did the Palomar run last year with a group of p-cars and it was a blast. I would attend based on the final date.
June 14th is the Friends of Steve McQueen Car Show in Chino Hills, CA and Im attending that show.

They are there anyways down on the 76. Three of them today. But with the amount of bikes out there. I would think us going would be a drop in the bucket....But you are right about the forum deal. Maybe PMing for the date would add another layer of difficulty. What do you think?

Palomar Mountain is one of my favorite roads I've been on - used to drive it once every month or two for years when i lived in San Diego.
Just be careful of all the motorcycles. I've seen them get crazy and cross lanes, and have seen many of them lay their bikes down. You don't have much visibilty ahead, and the roads are somewhat narrow, so those new to the road should keep that in mind and don't charge it too fast.
Such a blast though.. nice smooth roads and incredibly windy. Your brakes will get a workout on the way down, that's for sure.

I found one of the guys taking the photos out there (Rick Clemson)....... May want to give him a heads up when we are going there.
.
One other thing, to the folks interested in the winery. There are two that I'm preferential to, South Coast and Ponte. Ponte has a nice out door restaurant and nice wine. South Coast has a nice wine tasting room but I'm not to hot on their restaurant. Anyone's pick on where to go.

I would love to go! If it ends up being on the 22nd I have to be back by 11 I'm taking a few buyers to a foreclosure auction in Oceanside. I've been wanting to go to Palomar with the RUF so this would be a great opportunity!
