Dell has sworn off Rennlist.
We will have to entice him back in.

What? did someone **** him off? or...did he realize he was spending way too much time here and needed to re-connect with the rest of his life?

Greetings Apex/Cary Bagel eaters: I will be in Raleigh from April 18th to May 7th, perhaps longer, on family business. Mr. Budget has agreed to lend me a fine Ford Focus during my stay in exchange for pieces of green paper. As Banks and other financial institutions are not open on Saturday mornings (not in NC) I thought that I would drop on by on April 25th, eat a bagel, drink a coffee and hitch/beg a ride. I knew the area long ago but moved from Carrboro to Germany in 1990 (we lived in Carrboro for 13 years, and have been back many times since). I talk southern and can understand most east-coast dialects including down east gullah. Any takers?

The real questions for these guys seem to be is does your Porsche have an engine in the front, middle or rear? and with the Focus, they may make you park down the street though, this is a rough crowd...

Sorry, just kidding. I don't want to give these guys a bad name.... Charles maybe, but not the rest....

stilton, you will be more than welcome to join the gang. If you've seen enough pics, you know that many varieties of vehicle have been parked outside of the Wake Zone, some of the non-Porsches even in the coveted first two spots. Since we stick to the speed limit during the fun runs, I'm sure your Focus could keep up.

Well said, Michael. That's pretty much true, Stilton. You are always welcome. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to miss a big part of this weekend's get-together. Wish I could be there sooner.

After a 2 week absence I'll be back tomorrow for some good Porsche talk and coffee. See you at the WZ.

Rich - I'll give your race numbers to Dell or Scott to have when you get there. I don't think I'll get there until around 9.

Manil - If you're going to be there on Sat., I'll do the same with your numbers.

Look forward to seeing everyone there.

See Stilton? Gotta watch out for this Charles character, he's trouble.

Like I keep saying, 2.5 hours for coffee (yeah, I know, a drive too, but still) is a bit far. But you never know...one day I may show up.

Oh, and Charles...ask Dell who his racing Mentor was

Bob...you have to hold on to the 108 for a little bit more. Am in wilmington this weekend. will probably stay back next weekend if we decide to drive to VIR for the race.

No problem, Manil. Dell has your numbers. If I don't see you next weekend, I hope I see you one Saturday soon after that.

When I asked Dell about his mentor he immediately said Derek Bell...I brought up your name and he said Bob who?
