Default Rainy Saturday Get-Together

We had a great turnout today. Here's who came to our Saturday gathering, in spite of the incessant rain:

Scott (Audi until the C4S is put back together)
Dell (the Esacalade)
Rich (blue Boxster)
Randy (Lapis Blue 996 aero)
Helmut (S2000 while the Cayman S sleeps)
Tom* (newest attendee; red 996)
John (BMW in rain; red Boxster when sunny)
Jeff and his daughter (grey 996)
Peter (Arena Red Boxster)

We had plenty of discussion about the First Settlers PCA Memorial Day DE, as well as the Maxton Autocross. Unfortunately, the weather was not conducive to a drive - however, we're certainly going to have one at the first sign of sunlight.

Looks like a rainy week. I'll be more than ready for next Saturday before it gets here. Have a great week, everyone.

Bob

This rain is incessant. I drove to/from Winston-Salem today - I'm glad it was in the Explorer b/c the Porsche is freshly cleaned. She needs a nice, sunny Saturday drive. C'mon sunny weather!

Scott, I excavated a little silver C4S for you (bought it for a buck). But, I know how hard it is to find a C4S diecast - I'll bring it to you on Saturday.

No way. Awesome! I haven't been able to find them anywhere.

Great meeting everyone Saturday. This is exactly the type of group I was looking for. Bunch of big kids with big toys.

Stopped by Leith on the way home - lots of great Porsches in their lot. They're actually showing pricing reductions compared to the original sticker. John said it's the first time Porsche has ever allowed that kind of incentive.

Charles - I'm glad you had a great run today. I look forward to having a great drive on Saturday.

Tom - Great to meet you too. You have beautiful 996.

Redridge - Thanks for your comments.

Shaping up to be a great day on Saturday. Here's what we have so far:

- Magnetic race number samples from Amazing Signs; hopefully, Splinter Cell window stickers too.
- Splinter Cell shirt samples and order confirmations
- Some folks headed to Maxton Autocross at 8am
- Continued DE planning, for those who are going Memorial Day Weekend
- Of course, a drive around the Lake - perhaps a photo

I think I'll start warming up the engine when I get home from Wilmington tonight!
