I'm flexible for the autoshow this weekend; might be kinda cool to go and take some pictures; would like to ask for a seat in the 'lade if so.

O.K. Bob....I'm glad you learned your lesson....now go into your garage, give the 996 a hung...and say you are sorry for the 1 time fling with the red 997 HUSSY..........Porsche's have feelings to......

OK - I've thought about it. I'm staying with my 996 - I'll let John know in the morning. The red 997 is beautiful, but I parked my 996 right next to it and I didn't feel strongly enough to make the change. Also, the red 997 has 36K on the odometer after almost 3 years. My 996 has 36K on the odometer after 10 years and I know how well it's been maintained.
I guess this means that the red 997 didn't mean anything to me - it was just a superficial attraction.
Now I have to live with that guilt.

Cannot believe that Bob did not get one of the 2 spot's in front of the entrance.... Were you running late Bob?
PS: Planning to go to Sebring for the 12 hour race on the weekend of the 21st of March - anyone else planning to go - will probably fly down vs. taking the long drive.... talked to the Marketing lady from Flying Lizard last week - will get Paddock/Pit passes, need to figure out for how big of a group....

John, nice picture, I like the pano. Puts those 911s up front and center.
Bob, just think of the really cool mods you can do to your 996 for the extra $$ you would spend on the red 997! Suspension, tires, GT3 seats, harness, more DEs...... Good pictures lakeside. Great way to end the week, or if you look at it another way, to jump start the next week!!
I may go up to VIR Saturday, after our coffee meeting to solve the world problems of course. Tar Heel SCC is running this weekend.
Have a great week everyone, see you Saturday.

Rich - I couldn't agree with you more about potential mods to the 996.
I tried to beat Dell and Scott to the Wake Zone, but I dawdled at home for 1 minute putting in my contact lenses. It cost me the bragging rights and the parking space!
Dell said he was so intent on getting there first that he came down the driveway sideways - after riding with him at VIR, I believe he could do that!
Next Saturday, I will take them on again. I might be asleep during the conversations that morning, but I could be there first!!!
This certainly supports my wife's argument that I'm a little obsessive-compulsive.

Thanks for the warning, Bob. I'm going to get a copy of the video surveillance reel to see Dell sitting in his lawn chair in front off the Wake Zone on Friday night. Priceless.

If I were ever in your area from Minneapolis (w/out my Pcar) would I be able to ride passenger for one of these runs? Looking to be taking a trip in the next few months and was just curious...since my car is in storage I have been aching to ride again
