Wheh! That was fun. Scalding hot coffee then moving my wife out of her office in 102F heat. Time to sit back, relax, and watch qually for the German GP.

I had planned to swap my track arms today after coffee. My 3 ft breaker bar and the bolt holding the arm shattered my 18mm socket before the bolt would turn and it seemed to be a good sign to stop and enjoy the weekend.
Oh well, another day. Off to Sears for a new socket.

What is the general thought from those in the triangle on front tire wear for 996 turbo, my fronts have 3/32 left on the interior and 7/32 on the exterior. It had new fronts put on with an alignment 30k ago, and I aligned it last year just for peace of mind - no real needs, maintenance I guess. Too much camber, normal for the car?
Someone was trying to tell me the car must have been in a colision to create that wear pattern, but Leith sees the car as straight.

Sounds like you have too much camber dialed in for street driving. I'd dial some out to increase the wear rate. Do you have your current specs?

That was kind of what I was thinking as well, and that it didn't seem too bad to get 30k out of tires on a car designed for more than a daily commute. Mark B at Leith might have the specs from when he did the alignment. This guy was pretty interested in buying the car, then went cold after the ppi showed the tire wear. It is difficult to convince someone against their opinion, but I did want some info for myself.
