It will be great to see you at the Wake Zone, Rich.

Dell, is this the first outing with the RS? Whether it is or it isn't, I hope you'll tell us how your track day goes. Have fun!

Don't forget to check your fuel before the BBQ Run. I passing through Siler City for work 2 days ago and couldn't find any gas - no gas in 7 large service stations!

Seems to be OK in Cary/Apex.

See you in the morning!

Hi, everyone - It was great to see Rich and Ken at Wake Zone yesterday morning, before I headed over to Brier Creek for the BBQ Run. Rich - you convinced me to register for the DE. I'm very psyched for the opportunity to attend DE with you and Charles (with Dell as an instructor for one of us). Dell, you're one popular Porsche owner!

I'm planning to attend the Carolinas PCA mtg at Manchesters on Thursday night. Hope to see some of you there too.

And, last but not least, I will be at the Wake Zone for a couple hours in the morning next Saturday. We're leaving for a family trip to DC, but I have just enough time to enjoy some good Porsche social time before I hit the road in the minivan.

Have a great week everyone!

Bob, congratulations for signing up for the DE in Nov. You will love it. We can all park in the same area. I may be in town this week, where is Manchesters? I may try to attend.

Martin said that Manchesters is very near Brier Creek and the Triangle. Here's the address:

9101 Leesville Rd
Raleigh, NC 27613
919.676.3310

Regarding the DE, I hope I make the cut. It looks very full. I'm working on a place to stay - we have a friend who may have a condo we could use.

According to Martin's email of 10/5/2008, the meeting is at Manchesters in Morrisville:

This is a friendly reminder that our club meeting will be this Thursday October 9 at 6:30PM (officially start at 7PM).

Please come even if you are going to be late. We will discuss past and other October events such as Oktoberfest on October 11 at Foreign Cars Italia in Greensboro where some of the members will come for the Autocross. Also, some are thinking about coming to Drivers ED at VIR on November 22 and 23. Registration is already open and this is a popular event that solds out very quick. If you are interested, I recommend you register before the event is open to non-PCA members. As a reminder, you registration is processed until you pay so even if you register, selection will be done based on date of payment (online or USPS mail).

As a reminder, we have moved to a new location. Manchesters is in the shopping center located at the Alexander Drive and Page Road intersection. Near both RTP and Briar Creek areas.

Club Meeting Location:

Manchesters Grill
2121 T.W. Alexander Drive
Morrisville, NC 27560
919.596.6000
http://manchestersgrill.com/

NOTE: This is a new location and not the location we used to meet 3 years ago.

Thank you,

Martin Salas

Email the registrar your request and say that we have already talked about it. The contact email should be on the main page that shows your event summary. If you can't find it let me know and when I get home I will look it up and get the info to you. Today is my long day at campus so I won't be home til after 8p tonight

Default We Want Dell!!!

Can you instruct more than 1 driver at a time? I know that Rich and Charles both said that they would be asking for you - I'd like to also. But, not if it's not logistically possible.

Of course, there's always cloning....just like in the sci-fi movies. If not, I imagine a long line of Cary/Apex Porsche owners waiting for their turn with you for instruction.

The max they let us instruct is 2 drivers in a weekend since we have two student groups. However, the caveat is 3 fold......First, both of y'all would be in the same run group and make it impossible to be in two cars at one time . And second, instructing two students as well as driving my own sessions is very taxing. That puts me in the car for roughly 6 hours a day (~2 hours per car on track). Because of that I do not instruct two students. Lasty, by hopping between 3 cars there would be minimal to no feedback and one-on-one time for debriefing, etc..

There are some fantastic instructors in our Carolinas region so I have no doubt you will be happy with your pairing.

Let's work on the cloning thing
