The date for the drive is October 13th.
Sept 30th, is me date for doing the dry run with a couple of our regulars to see if we have a good route and make any necessary changes.
We mostly don't even disclose the details of the drive in advance - we keep it a surprise.
On this occasion, this event is more about enjoying the scenery and the social aspects, rather than the fun of me dragging a train of Porsches through the backroads on a high speed rollercoaster (well, mostly).

As for nuderstanding the route - I'm guessing that was a reference to our topless participants in their Boxsters.

This sounds great. I'm really looking forward to this drive.
As I mentioned earlier, we'll probably figure out our Route 97 detour when we stop near High Point. We'll have a much better idea of how much we can pull off once we have the full route info (especially stopping locations and durations) from Wellardmac.
Anybody want to caravan from Long Island to the starting point in Lambertville? It's a two-hour drive for me from Great Neck; I'd enjoy hitting the road at 5:15 AM a little more if I had some Porsche company.
