Mike,
What state do you live in? I live in CA and am waiting for Warranty Direct to offer this coverage here. Here are three links that discuss this further:
Are you happy with Warranty Direct
Anybody have Aftermarket Warranty Experience?
Just pocked up my C4S and want a warranty
I check with WD every week to learn of their status in CA. Once available, I will let everyone know.
Good luck.
Kurt

I have the Warranty Direct warranty on my '02 in California. I got in just under the wire. I had a quote in hand when they stopped offering them in CA and they honored it. So far I haven't had to use it but am glad that I have it.
They have a good reputation around here and offer several levels of coverage. The age of your vehicle may limit you options. Call them with questions or updates on the California thing.

Aaautowarranty: Broker of coverage, not direct administrator, coverage from several small administrators. Displays seals on their web site that probably shouldn’t be there. They display an AM Best seal showing "A" for Excellent. Tricks you into thinking you are getting "A" rated insurance backing. But most of their warranties are only backed with "B" or "NR3" ratings, not "A". Looks like plans they offer exclude wear-and-tear failures.

Be very careful. There are many reasons to be skeptical. Review the three sites I mentioned near the top of this thread, as you will get a good feel for what you need to look for from them.
It would be very bad to have spent thousands on a policy that wouldn't cover a needed repair or to find out that they went out of business and there is no recourse for you. This is not unusual for those that aren't careful.
I am waiting for Warranty Direct, but CA rules are different so odds are you will have more reliable choices than me.
If after reading the three links in my posting near the top of this thread you have specific questions, please ask them.
Good luck.
