so between 2005/10 until now, the car been auctioned twice. and whoever has/had it, they just can't move this thing.
not a good sign.
i will be VERY careful to inspect the car.

also, http://www.stlouiscarmuseum.com/ doesn't look like a p dealer, either.

also, if you read their post, they don't mention anything about the condition of the car itself.

I tend to agree with pl - something doesn't sound right there - a car that cannot be moved on over a year and has gone through 2 auctions - something sounds fishy. That's a red flag to me also.

Came close to buying this car 4 months ago from St. Louis... Contacted the dealership and things just didn't add up. I think they told me it was a 1 owner west coast car; couldn't answer some basic question re the car. So I moved on; but if you get better info from them it's a sweet looking ride.

Just looked at the pictures again, the panel gaps aren't right. Looks like some work was done on the front end and the bumper cover doesn't align perfectly. Also, what's with the grease all over the leather interior? You're supposed to use Mobil 1 in the engine not on the interior. There is also a big gap in the the reporting (odometer, registration) between 06/19/2002 and when it went to auction in 2005. Have your local dealer run the vin# to see if there is any service history during those missing years. Imho, walk away from this one unless you get more info.

I do have all the records that go with the car and they include the period from 02 to 05. The dealer that maintained the car in CA faxed them to the seller and he forwarded it on to me. A few minor things but the engine was replaced 12/04 at around 27,000 miles.

I personally would not go with car #1. That car was for sale here in CA and when I saw it, it was in bad shape. Scratches everywhere, poor interior shape....etc
