OK, I am brand new on this site today..I have a 99 c2 cab recently purchased and the first thing I thought was this stock exhuast is tooo mild. I have read all 12 pages and I am sold!! I need a set of 3.6s soon. I know everyone is looking for them but maybe I will be the lucky one..have been before. I live in a small town (Beaumont) outside of Houston

I'm the same age a month from now and all this time, I thought my birthday was this month, not next month... so yes, I believe our minds start to go at this age.

But I did notice that the exhaust got quieter. I want something louder.

Just do the 3.4 mod with the direct bypass pipes to the tail pipe inlet (bypassing the muffler)
That mod sounds great, and you already have the cans!

Default 3.6 can modd

From everything I read here, everyone says that the 3.6 are really the better choice if I am going to the trouble of modding. So I think I will continue to look for 3.6 cans. If anyone has some they need to get out of their garage....or intrested in selling, I 'mready to help.

Are you refering to the pic...you have or had that on your 996 or 3.6 cans...because I think those in the pic are larger than 3.6 and I am sure I would like the way those and the 3.6 might sound on my 996
