Default Front Lip Addition?

Anyone have experience with adding a front lip onto a stock bumper rather than changing out the bumper alltogether? I'm about to add side skirts to my '00 Cab and need to do something to "even out" the look on the front. I've been checking out the Getty Design front Aero Splitter and it looks like it would accomplish what I'm looking to do. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Nick

Haven't yet. Going to go with the Aero I (I think that's what it's called) version. Why, any better options if I go with a different skirt? I probably won't order until next week or so.

Good choice on the Aero I, there is a reason these were on the 99-01 cars.

Aero I kit looks dated.... Aero II looks a lot sharper... especially with the splitter your going to put on... just my opinion since I saw a cab done exactly that way... wow! what a difference.

Pete- any chance of a pic? I just can't picture it. That's why I shared the same opinion as Dell...

unfortunately I don't have a pic... but I'll tell you the story... I was riding my bike in the summer time and I saw a cab with the mods I speak of... well I followed this guy for about 3 miles until I finally caught up to him and told him what a great looking car he had... he pulled over and he told me all about it... the Aero I skirts don't look that bad ... I like the Aero II skirts because they have a "sharper" edge... go to the porsche dealership when you get a chance and see if there are any cars with the new aero II skirts and park next to it...

I've been planning to the the AERO II kit for the longest time but nobody here in Toronto could find me the "splitter"... so thx for posting that...

its a good look and you don't have to change the rear bumper at all and it still blends in quite nicely...

Pete- there are 2 splitters for the fron that are available from Getty. The one that I posted gives a "GT3" look. The other is the Folded Splitter below... Are you sure that the one that looked so good with Aero II was the first?

Don't think the Aero II skirts will look good with that smooth front bumper/splitter. But again, this is a too each his own thing as Pete has pointed out his pref for the Aero II's. Have to agree with him with regards to their sharp edge. Much prefer that line but it does not go with the prefacelift aero bumper.

I think aero I looks better on the 99-01 IMHO.. reason being the 02+ rear bumper plays a big factor.. on the 02 facelift.. the sideskirts on the aero 2 match the more "dramatic" rear bumper lines.. the 99-01 is "smooth" on the rear bumper, which corresponds nicely with aero I sideskirts.... i suppose it's a matter of preference. here's my 99.. with aero I side skirts and i wouldn't have it any other way...

Bob, do you have any real pics of your car? Seems to me that you always have the same 2 or 3 grainy photos and nothing else.

Bob - How about a pic of you car when it is NOT in front of a couple of trash dumpsters!
