Since there seems to be a bunch of newbs coming on every week. Let's create the ultimate - "Show off your 911 photo thread."
Here is what is required. A brief history about you (so everyone gets to know you), your car and you need to supply a photo of some kind. Since I am creating this mess...here's me / mine:
Mine: 1999 Carrera 2 - Artic Silver / Black 25K miles
Me: 5+ years with the PCA (various regions due to relocations). Chicago was the first. Been with Rennlist for about the same amount of time. In fact, I designed the Rennlist Forums site logo. (just ask John). Grease monkey at heart, track adict and all around car guy. This is my 4th P-car and I absolutely love it. Stay tuned - More to come.
Past fun cars:
1998 BMW M3 - Homebuilt Clubsport edition![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
2001 Audi TT Coupe 225Q - Fun but boring
1988 Porsche 944 Turbo S. The one I should not have sold.![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
1994 Porsche 968 - Great tourer
1988 Porsche 944 T - The "hard lesson learned" car.

Here's mine.
I'm 33 years old, Egyptian origin, born in Toronto, lived all over the world, a lot of time in Marin county and Orange County California. Currently living in Dubai working in Marketing for a big FMCG multinational, been here 4 months, was in Switzerland prior.
Was enjoying the car till the rms leaks began, only done 5,000km on it and it's been fixed twice, currently at the dealer to see if I get a new engine.
Still love it though

What would you like to know?
Races in the Grand-Am Cup Series which is a support series of the Grand-Am Rolex series. The CUP series is for essentially street stock cars with minimal engine modifications. Competitors in the Grand Sport class that the 996 races in include the new 2005 Ford Mustang, the BMW M3, Audi S4, Cadillac CTS-V, and Acura NSX among others.
Autometrics Motorsports in Charleston, SC built the car and could tell you much more about it than I could. I just own it and drive with Cory in the series. ;-) But I'll share what I know. Before I start, I really should commend Autometrics on the fine job they did putting her together. Anyone thinking of building a racecar should definitely have them high on the list of potential shops they might use.
Shocks are Triple Adjustable Motons. Cage is a custom job done by someone local to their shop in Charleston (wish I had a close-up of it, its really quite impressive). Most of the car is modeled after the GT3 Cup Car and if you didn't know better, looking inside of it, you might think it was an early Cup car. Engine is more or less stock, save for some slight ECU tweeking. Though I will say it sounds absolutely awesome. Autometrics did a custom center exit exhaust much like the current Cup Cars have and it sounds terrific. Wish I had a sound file I could post online, definitely music to one's hears to hear her screaming in 5th gear at 7400 RPM's on the banking at Daytona. Wheels are 17 inch Fikse FM-10's wrapped with spec Hoosier tires specific to the CUP series. Series mandates tires size and the 996 is allowed to run 245's up front and 275's in the rear.
If you want to know anything else, ask away. If I can't answer it, Cory checks the forums occassionally also and might chime in with the answer.

PS - Deep in the process of sponsor hunting at the moment, so if anyone out there in Rennlist land would like their company's name on a car that is likely to get quite a bit of time on the SPEEDtv broadcasts this year, drop me a line. Rates are very, very reasonable compared to what many others in the series are charging today. And, in my totally biased opinion, you'd have your name on one of the best looking cars in the series this year.

The race car is cool, but the thread has diverged, was looking forward to seeing more member cars and getting to know people more.
Can y'all discuss it in another thread please.
