Default 996 Deck Lid Badges

Hey all,

Anyone here have an interesting Badges on their 996s?

I have a 1999 996 C2 Aerokit (non factory). I currently have a badge delete, because i put a GT-Racing Taco replica. I've been debating between 3 badges to put on.
1) standard "Carrera."
2) a 964 "Carrera 2" Badge (would that be too weird? i know some Pcar purists would be frowned upon that, but i kinda like the idea.)
& ...
3) getting a custom badge, or sticker, saying "GT -3." lmao that one is obviously a bit silly, but i think its funny. since i have a non factory aerokit, with tiptronic (i know...), it sorta seems fitting to have that as a badge lol.

I tried to find an old forum about 996 badges but didnt seem to find one so i thought id create one really fast... What do you guys got?

LMAO.

Yes that is correct. I actually work for a Porsche Dealer.

Both badges (1 & 2), are available. Though id have to buy a GT3 badge and somehow make a Negative sign to make the GT -3 work.

I was also just wondering what others have on their cars. i've seen good, and some awful badges on 996s, particularly the ones that have the long modern P O R S C H E badge. imo thats an eye sore on older cars. not to mention theyre most likely crooked lol

I would have fun with it and get a custom badge in Porsche script that says something like Car, Poorsche or I like Tacos

My 40AE car has a nice simple 911 badge which is always a good move if you want something safe. I do like a clean car with no badges as well.

yeah the 40AE badge is great. i havent seen anyone put a Carrera 2 badge on a 996 yet. or any non 964 for that matter. i mean, technically i still have a Carrera 2 lol. the more i throw the idea around, the more i may want to go ahead to do it. we'll see tho.

I’ve been toying with the idea to change my badge from “Carrera 4S” to just “Carrera S” since I converted to RWD. I guess I’d have to get the S alone since mine has an indent.

IMHO, apply the correct emblem - that is "Carrera" for the time period or just leave it blank.
If you truly want to be silly put "V-TEC EATR" or something on the back.

My targa says "targa" on the back. A surprising number of people ask me what make of car it is. "I never heard of a 'targa'..."

Get something that didn't exist as a 996. Like a GT4 badge.

Or a Boxster badge.

Way back when hitchhiking was a sport, not a death wish.
