Default 19’s on a 996.1?

Would these fit, would the ride be miserable?

Would spacers be required?

Car is a ‘99 C2 cab

These 19s were on my 1999 coupe, ride was a bit firmer but nothing dramatic, these are OG racing forged wheels went back to stuck look 18s. By the way these 19s are for sale, bolt and go on a narrow body 996 or 997.

Impossible to say without knowing the rim width and offset.

Most of those who try out 19" rims eventually revert back to 18". Harsh ride mainly. The sidewalls of the 19" tires just make the car harsh, rattles, and nearly impossible on city roads. Not sporty and not an upgrade.

That’s what I was thinking. These are for sale locally, look great and are OEM, but I definitely do t want a rough ride.

I ran across these locally- are these the champion RG5 wheels? Seems like I see a lot of folks run these on their 996 and they looks great.

Big difference. Get the offsets and tire sizes for the wheels in question and that will determine fitment.

I’m asking questions here about used wheels because most folks here know the details of the wheels just by looking at them. I don’t.

They often differ from one to another but frequently there will be markings that indicate specifications. That's what you're looking for.

No, the likelihood anyone can tell the width and offset (what you need to know) is about none as those are not stock wheels (or good looking wheels).

If you want some good feedback, provide enough information for the smart people here to give it.

My uninformed opinion, judging by the giant lip on the rears is NO, those are not going to fit on a narrow body car.

I have 19s on mine (bought it that way) , and though I think they look pretty good; they do feel harsh, and I might drop back to 18s if I find a good set that I like.
I suggest if you go with 19s, to keep your old wheels so you can revert back if you don't like the ride.

For some ....reminds me of that Fernando Lamas quote when it comes to 19s ...."Its better to look good than feel good."

My car as purchased with 19s The ride wasn’t bad but NYC streets have other issues If the roads by you are smooth you’ll have no problem but fitment is priority
