Hi, iv just got myself a 996.2 c2 and I dont really fit in it! The wheel sits too close to my legs and id like my legs a little straighter to help with heel and toe downshifts.
Im 6,4 and I think iv got long legs for my height. I have searched and found a couple of other people have had the same issue but iv not found anything that sounds like the perfect solution for me, most of the posts seem to be taller guys saying they fit juat fine, maby they have shorter legs?
I noticed the left seat goes further back than the drivers is this normal? Would it be possible to swap the seat runners from left to right maby?
Im considering race style seats if all else fails as I just cant live with it the way it is, but could really do without spending the small fortune they cost!
If anyone can give me some advice id be very grateful.
Thanks
Ian
I am 6'3", with most of the height in my legs (34" in-seam) vs. my torso, and I too find the seating position between the seat/pedals/steering wheel/shifter slightly less than optimal for very spirited driving. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible by any means, but by comparison, the seating position and layout in my Z06 is much better suited for my build.
6'2" 34 inch inseam and have no problem finding a comfortable seating position in my -2 C4S. Good question above about wrists over top of wheel with shoulders back on seat. So many people want to drive with straight out arms like in an Indy or Formula car. That is not the position recommended by the people who set people up for proper competitive driving positions. Another suggestion is you should still have a bend in your knee when depressing the clutch pedal fully.
Additionally I believe both seats should go back the same distance. Maybe something is askew in the drivers seat rear adjustment. Check underneath for obstructions first.

I had a similar issue, but Im only 6-61.
i opted for a Recaro Profi SPG XL with Brey Krause base and brackets. Not running sliders to gain a little more head room, although I had to get some more holes added to the base and brackets for more forward and back options. For the steering setup I went with Works Bell hub and Rapfix GTC, with a Nardi deep corn wheel. Also opted for a GT3 console delete.
I'm 6'2 34" inseam. I put seat extenders in mine on the driver's side only. I used these: https://extendmyseat.com/porsche-911...seat-brackets/
They claim 6" more leg room, it's really closer to 3" more leg room. They fit OK but not great. I put up with them because it's so much nicer to drive now.
I think a gt3/boxster lower console delete would make it even more perfect, except I can't do that because I have a double-DIN radio and the console deletes are now unobtanium.

GT3 Console Delete was total game changer for me. Sucks they are apparently on indefinite back order now.
