996 for big & tall drivers?
I'm a new Porsche owner and new here to the forums. I put together a big and tall reaction video on my new to me 996.2 C4S. Some of the common things we see in all reaction videos. But, more stuff on how big and tall drivers cope (or not) in a 996.

I’m 6’1 and weight 250 and I’m very comfortable even with others in my back seat tight but doable

I have a Targa and am 6'5" and about 215 pounds with a 37" inseam.
I really could use about two or three more inches of legroom, it's pretty tight. Headroom is actually pretty good.
The GT3 Console Delete mod made a large difference in the legroom and I suggest doing it for your car. It's a simple and relatively cheap mod. Since you have a black interior the parts should be readily available.

I'm 6'2 - I installed these:

and it added about 2 or 3 inches of legroom.

Installation was fairly easy, the brackets are not quite perfect and there was some trouble getting everything lined up and the bolts started. I seem to remember the bolts they provided were fairly crappy so I ended up buying different ones.
The plastic covers on the "toes" of the seat tracks can't be used, or I could not figure out how their adapter to put these covers on worked. So I left the covers off.
The downside is that when I have the seat perfect for my legs I can barely reach the steering wheel. I suppose I need one of those wheel extenders too.
I think that the GT3/Boxster center console delete is a better way to go. My car has the double din PCM radio so that isn't easy for me.

I’m 6’ 4”, 33” inseam and I found a 50mm steering wheel extender worked best for instant leg room and better positioning in my case.

6'2" 235 and no issues. Have had my 5'2" daughter comfortably sitting behind my 5'2" wife on passenger side but nobody could sit behind me when driving outside of a carseat. Wearing a helmet at HPDE was a little tight but doable.

Uhhhh...kinda. I don’t recall the instructions being specific for our car and too vague. It’s been a couple of years, so maybe that’s changed for the better. The install is fairly easy if you just look at the rails and not overthink why there are different bolts included. I recall having two bolts I couldn’t see where they would go. Anyway, the brackets take about 30 minutes to put in and fiddle with once the seat is out. If you need to run the seat all the way back to the stop tab, your seat will butt up against the B-pillar floor trim. The stock front rail plastic trim pieces won’t fit anymore. If you have a fire extinguisher driver side, that may not fit properly, as well.

I'm also larger and fit fine. But not in a 996 Targa. I sat in one while I was shopping and there is a larger rail on the left side for the sliding top. When sitting straight up it wasn't an interference, but leaning just slightly to the left my head hit that rail. It was pretty much a deal killer, I would not have been willing to put up with that.

I am long of torso (short of leg) and ...ahem...not skinny.....part of what sold me was fitting into the car as compared to some other marques I looked at.
