I managed to capture the dark blue aspects of Atlas Gray while stopping on a drive during prime evening light. I usually prefer jelly bean colors but I really love the subtleties in this color. (At least, on the actual picture I can see the color. The compression on here seems to be knocking it out to black)
Driving this car to this spot was such a blast too. I originally got this as a more “disposable” car I wouldn’t worry about tracking over my 964 because I didn’t have the emotional connection with 996s like I did other cars. However, now I love this as much, if not more, than my 964 and will keep it as long as I am able to (hopefully forever).
I finally got the car on track a couple weeks ago, but it was the tiny Jefferson circuit, so I could do the whole thing in third gear. Feeling it load up in the corners and listening to it wail down the two straights was still so good. It felt very similar to my 964 (but with 100 more HP) so i was instantly comfortable.

most other 911s are faster more comfortable interiors but the feeling of the 996 is electrified through every cell In my body when I drive it
