The crash bar looks the same as my 2000. It looks like someone hacked up the rad intake boots. I would replace them as i doubt that is helping the airflow.
I thought so too but looking closer, his is 5"-6" shorter on each outboard end. Maybe the PO trimmed them for the same reason as the air duct trimming?...
Two of these (3) 911's got washed and babied today. I love my 996's. This white car is so clean I can't explain it. I'm building it into a Canyon Carver. Since I live in Maryland it will be a Canyon Carver without a Canyon....and with goals of me driving it out to California one day.

I remember the car having an aftermarket bumper on it previously, me guesses at least the crash bar hackery was to allow bumper fit.
When the Porsche Badge comes up during activation, it makes it all worth the price! Also I bought a realy nice 1/16" thich rubber mat for the storage panel. It has a sticky backing. Perfect to keep the phone / things from sliding around.

My sons 17th is Wed. This is his birthday gift. Not his daily but his weekend car and intro to motorsport car. Can't think of a better way to get him hooked on Porsche and 911 then his own 996 to rip around in.
No way I could let him motorsport the 2001 C4 besides this car is probably 2800 lbs or lighter. Can't wait to drive / see it. I hear the stance is spot on to my visual requests.
New sport oval tips coming
