What in the world... Are these really parking spots? I don't understand why they would make spots smaller than cars?

It's the Bay Area. Space is at a premium.

New to me. After about 4 years of searching I finally found the right car at the right time. I have a PPI and one way plane ticket booked, and then a 350 mile drive home. It should be fun! Assuming everything goes well, I'll share some pics when I get it.

Plane tickets are good but also consider a one way rental car if they cancel flight etc. My son and I did the rental 300 mile rental car trip and visited the campus of DUKE on the way there. Got the drive the 98 build car on the way back that very same day. What fond memories. Congrats I hope the PPI goes well.

Same here and the closer you get to the ocean, the worse it gets.
Back in the day when I was in construction, we resorted to all kinds of underhanded methods to get the parking approved. Back then the inspector for the handicapped stuff was different than the regular inspector and the number of handicapped spots could increase or decrease depending on which one was first. For example if 10 handicapped spaces were required, we would mark them with chalk based paint and after sign off there would be only five handicapped but 8 more regular spots.
This was mostly done by small contractors because if you were big-time, it was pretty easy to get a variance and you could get away with really narrow spots. You just had to call your city councilperson and as long as you donated to their campaign, you were golden.

Nowadays everything is by the book and just figuring out how many spaces you need would be a nightmare but there’s 65 page manual (just on parking) to help you.

?

But they aren't actually saving any space if the cars are still hanging into the street.... Right?

That's downtown San Francisco parking garage and is right across Westfield shopping mall, that spot is not that bad compare to their side by side parking spaces, the side by side parking spots are even worse.

Big enough for dozens of e-scooters, the obvious future of transportation

First time out and about with my new sweetheart

Original paint
Original interior
One would never guess the miles. I just realized the picture was 105,911

Hats off to ALL THE OWNERS BEFORE ME. I think 2. For taking such great care of her. I took her to the next level with a paint correction, detail, headlight polishing and hollow turbo wheels.

There will be no aero, no center console delete, no shifter install. She is finished and comfortable in her own skin just the way she is.

Next up an alignment and polish the factory exhaust tips back to 1999

Once the weather warms I'll get all 3 out to play with some non iphone proper pics.

With the price of these cars rising, I could stand to save 35 cents indeed

This white is so crazy white. I'm used to Carrara or Grand Prix white. Glacier is super white with some blue. Apply named for sure.

You can also tell it's a 99 and Glacier because that was the only year they made Glacier on the 996 Pretty special. On the 911, I think they made it in 97-99 and 2015

I got to resist putting clear front markers on Embrace STOCK with this one is the modo
