GT3 Cup Car front spoiler

996.1 Aerokit/Taco Spoiler

I've had it well into the triple digits and it felt great.
I was worried about going to the much larger GT3RS spoiler/wing.
I have Joe Toth GT3 front dive planes that I have yet to install.
But the GT3RS wing does not upset the high speed stability by itself.
I've not had a chance to hit very high triple digits speeds on a closed course since I've swapped to the GT3RS wing, but it does feel stable at higher speeds.
I'll be headed to the Texas Mile after my engine rebuild/break-in.
https://texasmile.net/texas-mile/
I'll be interested in seeing which spoiler/wing helps the most at extreme high speed.
I expect to be ~170mph at least.
I'm keeping the Taco & factory spoilers and might be using them at the Texas Mile if the 997.2 GT3RS wing causes too much drag.
I'm looking forward to seeing how they all perform.

When is the 2022 event? Didn't see it on the website.

I'm not sure when it is...I'm hoping to be ready for the 2023 event.
The engine won't be broken in before EOY.

Here's my latest Daily Drive photo.
I had to make a 54 mile trip to/from a data center for 5 minutes of work.
It was an enjoyable drive there and back as I got to miss the commuter traffic.
Wide open lanes...for the most part.

Yup. But I’ve been enjoying taking my 996 out in this cold damp California winter weather more than I normally would. Greetings from So Cal.

Got the 3/98 white car back from the detailers. As usual Brett at All American Paint Protection knocked it out of the park.

This is just a teaser now until the build is finished. Not sure how much longer that stock engine deck is gonna last.

Also a shot of my gray GT3 seats I may or may not install in Sammy (seal gray) car. The plan is to put the black GT3 seats in the white car. Fun decisions to make coming up.

I’d be up for meeting up there some day. It just might be hard for me not to drool on that red interior. 👍
