@Porschetech3 i don’t know if you’ve seen the fancy gauge cluster work Martin Hill has done, but it would be cool to integrate your SOPL in a similar manner to his oil temp light.

I haven't seen it, that's pretty cool, thanks...

he’s got a few other cluster mod videos. If you didn’t recognize the name, Martin is the guy who is making the X51 oil pump.

If you have any pull with Martin, get him on this thread or Zbombs thread on "Oil Pressure Stability" to tell us more about his X51 pump and kit.

If I understood Skip's reply a few posts back, it could potentially be a good compliment to the UIDS.

The dash video is pretty good but why not ad a color build for oil red and blue for coolant it would make it easier to read on the fly

Based on your reaction "Unfortunately your negative thoughts ..." I seem to have not been able to get across that I consider it indeed very fortunate that my thoughts were based on incorrect understanding of your design and as such are not relevant to it.
I am sorry I couldn't make this obvious in my prior post.

Thanks for taking the time to make things clearer for me by pointing out that the rod is not connected to either ball. (I now notice that rod and ***** have different colours in the cad models, albeit with little contrast).
In this case the two rod guides are required, obviously and the ***** are not constrained by the rod and/or its guides.

I now also understand that the part pictured replaces the original sump cover instead of being sandwiched between sump and original cover.
So two separate covers will seal the galleries leading to the ball valves and not the original cover as I originally thought.

Thanks again and best of luck developing it.

Is it the same Martin who makes the "Big Brake Kits", or is there two different Martin's making upgrades.

Thanks for remaining open minded and allowing me to change your negative thoughts to positive. Changing someones mind after it's been made up is the most difficult thing in the world.

I don't expect anyone to grasp all the technical, dynamic, and hydraulic aspects of the design by looking at it and studying it for a little while ( except for people like Jake and Charles who already like the design) , like I have mentioned , George and I have spent hundreds of hours on this, and while it may "look" simple , it's not.

I realize that developing a product in plain view of the people who should be interested in it is probably not the best path to market, but this is suppose to be a "technical forum" so I felt it would be appropriate.

Skip , Luis in Texas. You helped me solved the issue with the ticking on my 3.4 engine. Last week squirrel 🐿 even verified. Carbon deposits, I used CRC GDI. Anyway, I’m going to my mechanic in the am, nothing to mayor, just fixing the blinker return, take off the front bumper to clean between radiators and condenser, and a couple other little things. The sump design seems awesome, based on what I know about lubrication, I definitely believe the ridges will help with oil temp. Anyway I sent my mechanic another 99 owner and he installed your aos, that car may still be there tomorrow. My mechanic doesn’t know exactly who you are and all your vast knowledge, but I will continue to promote you. I like this guy because he is 33 years old and a go getter. I even told him that if he needed capital I would go in with him. He also prepares cars for racing and he also races a boxster. I think he can actively promote your UAOS and once the sump is done this too. The guy is really qualified, used to be part owner of Porsche shop that specialized on air cools and has worked at a few PCA certified shops. PM me and I’ll put you in contact with him. Sorry for the length. Question comment about the system. I read that you stated that using this will add .7 qts to the sump. Will this has an impact, work fine with the digital oil level display in the dash. ?? I have no intention of tracking my car but I welcome the possibility of additional oil in the sump and more than likely lower oil temps. Also I like the fact that it keeps pretty good ground clearance.

Governor "Maw Maw" Ivey still can't make up her mind about the mask mandates, but other than that we are fine, just a lot of rain.
