That block might be salvageable by LN Engineering.
Looking forward to seeing the crank and carrier!
No holes in the side of the block?

Throw that core away. It has seen too much trauma. Leave it for someone else to learn a lesson from. Even if you can save it- you shouldn't. I can see enough from what you've posted to make this statement.
LN has the videos, its best if you get it from them when they do block work for you.
3.4 cores are easy to find, and cheap. I turn them down every week or so when people try to sell them to us. We don't live off of cores like mass producers do, since we build the customer's engine, and I haven't been taking on any catastrophic losses for the past couple of years.
Have fun with it, failure= opportunity. You just have to change the way that you look at it.

Looks like i may need one .
I would agree with u on the core. That half of the block has the welded oil pan anyways and i would not get credit for it anyways
finishing up for the night. As expected bank 2 looks fine. Hopedully i will pull the accessories and split the case tomor. I have gear swap for a jeep that might get in the way considering thats how i will be paying for the new motor.

I think you'll find the rod bearing was the cause of that. The rod bearing failed, the piston came out of the cylinder too far on the down stroke, the ring caught the outside of the bore.
JB weld anyone?

Here is what what send to me. Look at TBn levels, higher than liquid moly lower than Mobil 1. Also no mention about other anti wear other than 600 ppm moly. Amsoil and Mobil one TBn at 12 and above. From what I gathered this is a small company, honestly I would like to see their Porsche A40 letter of approval, keep drinking the kool aid, I’m not running this stuff in my car even if it was given free to me as a sponsorship. To give you a clue Hendricks Motorsport was sponsored by Quaker state, part of pennzoil big dollar sponsorship but they continued to run Valvoline, it’s all about the money, not the best product to protect your engine, I also don’t like the viscosity at 100.

Im just hoping the crank is ok. I can deal with a case half but the cranks get real pricey.
