Track Pics / Vids - PUT EM HERE...Do It !

Tough to guarantee that the 3 HPDE events had anything to do with the metals. They may already have been there from wear and tear over time. However, if you changed your oil right before each event, then there is a pretty good clue that you have some internal wear and tear happening relatively quickly.
A lot of variables such as last time you changed your oil, condition of oil, condition of your bores, service history of the car, previous owners driving habits on the street and/or track and therefore engine condition and weak links can all play into it.
If it were my car I would do the following:
1. Get your oil tested now before you change your oil to start a baseline. This will tell you what's floating around in your oil, as well as provide clues as to what components are wearing.
2. Get your car into your Indy and have them take off your oil pan to see what's in there, as well as check the oil filter for more fragments.
3. While your pan is off, get your shop to scope your bores to see what you got for bore conditions.
4. Don't know what oil you run, but the oil test, pan analysis, bore scope, will all tell you if you have a problem brewing or not, as well as what oil you should probably be running. LN Engineering provides a boatload of info on their website on the different types of oil you can run based on your situation. I suspect your Indy has suggestions as well.
5. Make sure you change your oil in the spring after you take the car out of its winter hibernation. If you are planning on tracking your car, make sure you have fresh oil in your engine before the event, and then immediately change it after each event. Lastly, change your oil before winter. There is a theme here...fresh oil often.
If you want more info on how to prep your car, just let me know and I will gladly tell you what has worked well for me from 2004-2018 and what I am doing to prep it for the 2022 season.
But right now, you need to start a baseline of seeing what's inside your engine so you can take the appropriate next steps to facilitate engine longevity for the street and track.
These engines are very durable on the street and track if you do the right things.

All good ideas. This is something I've been dealing with since May. I posted about it in the below two threads. I do have UOAs and have worked with an indy to look at it. I'm actually taking it to a second indy up in LA on Friday. After that I'm going to post an update.

More crappy phone video. From yesterday at Lightning track, njmp. I really need a telemetry/video upgrade over the winter.

Are you using the phone with track addict to to also record the video? I had my video and yours going at the same time on my computer.
This is what I use with the forward facing camera.

It's kind of weird them giving you point bys on their right between 5 and 7. I would stay on the racing line when pointing by there.
I had a great time there last Friday. Will definitely be back next year.

Its a seasucker mount on the back glass. Yes im running the video with track addict. I really need a rammount roll cage bracket to stabilize it. Im probably gonna get an aim solo2 this winter and didnt want to waste money buying stuff for the phone.
This event was with MoE and they didnt have rule for the side u had to pass on between 4 and 5. Depending on the car, i passed the direction of the point. I have vid of an earlier session where i was in traffic the whole time and made a bunch of passes. Maybe ill upload it?
Edit:
Here it is, the middle is pretty boaring and at the end i was running down a blue camero but a 997t decided to hit the gas on the front straight instead of letting me by. Cost me 6 sec on the next lap and then the session ended.
The early cars pointed me to the right and the turbo to the left between 5 and 6.

Yup... that's why I use a GoPro... but the data integration to your video is seamless, wires into car, records by itself etc... which is why I will pick one up if I can steal one used. The GoPro works and with track addict, it gets you the data overlaid on the video, but the whole setup is klugy and GoPros suck as far as I'm concerned with **** like deciding its going to shut itself off in the middle of a session as a for instance.

I was there one track day in 2016, it was my first event in yellow run group.
There was an off in almost every session.
