Sounds like a blast! I've been wanting to go for a while as well. I am moving down to New Orleans next month, which would put me within a reasonable range. I won't know what the new job will look like for a few months, but if it works with my work, I'd be down to join you guys. I've been following each of your builds and would love to get to see the cars in person. You all have done some impressive work.

November might not be too bad, crowd wise. I've been there twice, both times in summer, and unless I went out at 6:00am it was a zoo. Very very popular spot.

Justin mentioned something about an event the weekend before. I love dressing up for Halloween and I think my girl has her son for that weekend prior... my 40th bday is the weekend before that so the first weekend of November seems like it'll be the best. Besides, I've never seen that area in the Fall.

New Orleans is one of my favorite places in the US! My buddy got married there and we had a fantastic time and I'll be putting some info out as time passes.

I drove it, let's see, 30 years ago as a shakedown cruise in my new VW Corrado VR6.

Yeah, I love it there and am very excited about the move! Sounds good, I'll keep an eye out here for updates on the car and the Dragon.

Long way from Spokane, the company I work for is down on the Columbia River across from Hood River OR... I love WA. Did Survival School up your way in Fairchild AFB.

For those who cared for info on RPM Technik's carbon hood, they're currently reevaluating how they bond the hood cap to the reinforcement now so they're not currently taking orders on them. Simon will let me know once they are and I think that'll be a project for 2023. Also signed up for track day events via Chin Motorsports, I'm 99% sure I'll be doing Homestead Motor Speedway in mid Nov and maybe Sebring if it's not an open course. De Jeeper linked a vendor who sells race equipment and my old Arai helmet is from 2010 I believe so it's time for a new one. Pretty excited to do some of those events and Homestead is an exit away from my house, I hear them on race days.

Ha! I don't know if I'll make Sebring in that time frame, long story short we had some lay offs last week and brings my dept down to 1/3 of what it was in 2020 (we're at 5 total layoffs in the last 3yrs vs 0 in my first 10) so I'll be out more... think this last Christmas will be the last I celebrate whilst being home for the rest of the time doing contract work. I've done a couple track days over the years, BMW Driving experiences and Lexus corporate events so hopefully it will be fun and the instructor won't fear for his life. Think there's a Sebring event in December, not too sure but if I'm home and some of you all make it... I'll make the trip.

Right now I have about 3 people including myself going. I know there's an event the weekend before and it will be packed, hence me picking the first weekend of November. It also gives me time to get the suspension completed, I'll probably start getting a real head count in August. My schedule is weird as I'm on vacation for 4 months before I head back to a floating prison of bullsh!t but would like to get some of the Rennlist 996 guys out there. Part of owning a Porsche is getting the hat, polo and doing hoodrat stuff with P-car community... I have two of those so looking to do hoodrat things with my friends.

Keep us updated. I retire at the end of the week and move back home, which is about 2 hrs from the Tail of the Dragon. There is another road within about 20 miles of the Dragon, the Cherohalla Skyway that is a fantastic road for the drive and the views. It is well worth the drive.
