I feel your pain. I'm dealing with a flamingo infestation.

The 996 Revival meet was a success! Easily 30+ showed up and man all of them were really nice. Wish I would’ve gotten more pics, especially with the two Zanzibar cars(Targa and Turbo) but both iterations of the 996 cars were well represented. My car was the only Slate car which was nice and the only Ducktail… it was definitely a crowd favorite. Several GT3s were there and a Yellow one parked next to me. It was hotter than hell but windy, no rain so overall it was a nice day.

Both @barbancourt and @GTSchport were there and Jahre in the photos belongs to GTSchport.

Thanks for the invite @TheChunkNorris ! Was a great time and some really nice cars out there. The South Florida 996 community is stronger than I thought. Real friendly crowd.

Over on the Gulf side today, I saw both a speed yellow turbo and a midnight blue metallic C4S (yeah both 996s) in a matter minutes while driving back from Sanibel Island.

Finally sourced a set of 6 piston calipers for the 380mm build. They've seen cleaner days but I'm glad I'm not paying as much for new units, still planning on installing this set up at the beginning of next year since the suspension takes priority. The calipers will obviously be fully rebuilt and powder coated, thinking I'll go a factory gray metallic since I'll eventually go with red faced E88s.

Are you doing any other mods in conjunction with the calipers and rotors? Such as... is a master cylinder from another model recommended or required? What adapter are you using to mount them?

Was it a regular 997mc? Any specific unit?

Yes absolutely, I was looking at the 996GT3 unit but just saw De Jeeper's post... going to have to track one of those down. Rear Calipers are either going to be 997 Turbo or 996 GT3s. My kit came from a dude named Fabian but the kit that Jason got from Hill would be more cost effective. To anyone who's reading this thread, I totally understand this set up is overkill and more aesthetically pleasing since the calipers on my car need to be rebuilt... might as well upgrade.

Doing a quick google search this 997 unit came up:

997-355-910-31

https://www.sunsetporscheparts.com/o...er-99735591031

If you scroll down to the vehicle fitment chart, it's the same unit for all 997s including GT cars.
