Chunks slow build... very slow.

I built it off of a Vietnam era parts kit, came out nice. My step dad served as a Sapper towards the end of the war and was giddy looking at it.

It's a half cage bolt-in with X brace & harness bar. There are no logos on it but the wheel refinisher (big 911 guy) said it was a DAS Sport (https://www.vividracing.com/das-spor...1-p-44081.html) and that definitely looks like it. So my car has that cage and fixed-back Corbeaus and.... factory rear seats. Kinda seems like I don't need the rear seats. And am looking for a more comfortable option to the Corbeaus.

My Crown Jewels are my H&K P7 9mm trio and a AC556 Transferable Machine Gun.

I've got fixed Corbeaus FX1 Pro seats w 6-point harnesses right now. Those and the half cage make the rear seats useless. The rear would be pretty tight for my 12 yo, but I wouldn't mind being able to shove stuff back there. If the FX1 were more comfortable, I'd probably leave them or just have them retrimmed in leather but there's pretty much no padding or lumbar (removed?). This car will be 99% street use so I'm interested in reclining (well, at least tilt-forward as there will be no reclining with the harness bar). I'd even be ok with keeping the FX1 for the driver (having an upholster add padding and retrimto match ) a tilting passenger seat. The plan is for this car to see about 10k miles/year when I drive w/out family. It's a bit rough for that now, although I can get in/out of the harness pretty quickly at this point.
So if I get new ones, they would definitely be reclining (or at least tiltable) and be able accommodate the harness. I would prefer leather but FlyFishNick really likes his SickSpeed pleather seats. Gathering information at this point. Going to install new wheel/shift boot & ****/console/ebrake this week.

Yeah...
I have GT3 seats and a rollbar. No back seat. Because I track the car, I didn't want anything that reclined for safety reasons. If you aren't planning on tracking it, then you probably don't need racing seats or a rollbar. You may just need stock seats and a removable harness bar from Brey Krause. You can run a 4 point harness with stock seats using this set up. Did it for a few years before I found grey leather GT3 seats. Then I went all the way with a Heigo roll bar, racing harnesses, etc. Because it was very easy to remove the brey krause harness bar after a track event, and use the rear seats, it was recommended to go with the Heigo roll cage if I ever wanted to remove the center bars and use the back. Never did. Mainly because I couldn't get around the GT3 seats. Love the seats and set-up and have figured out how to store things in the back area if needed. A big plus is that if you remove the rear seats, you save quite a bit of weight. As a side note, while the GT3 seats don't recline, you can use Velcro pads that come with the seat to adjust the lumbar and recline a little. I even bought extra pads so I have 4 per seat to use on longer drives. Works very well.

Jesus H with the gun **** J.... I'm coming to visit and leaving all my neutered stuff at home
The Elcan is a tank...if the gun you're running it with ever runs dry, you can always just bludgeon that bad guy to the ground with it, may even be a worse way to go than the ventilation.
