Aerokit Front Bumper options
996.1. Want to replace my front bumper and like the aerokit one, but OEM seems to have gotten very pricey ($4-5k in my recent search). Hard to find a used one that isn't damaged. How are the aftermarket options? Are some preferred over others (especially re fit)?
my local Porsche Dealer, who tends to have pretty good prices (for OEM)

and various eBay sellers.
Not sure if each of these companies make their own or are reselling the same product.
Or is OEM worth saving for?
Thanks, M

yeah - I was searching for something when I came across their website. Consistently on the low side and since they're local - can just pickup and save on shipping too.

Getty Design (and Michael Shaw) are local to me. I have nothing to say but good things to say about my experience with them. The PO had a replica MAShaw Taco wing installed, which another member here now has. I now have their GT2 wing, which required minimal body work. I have seen lip kits/bumpers that were off by several inches. MAShaw fit like OEM. I can't say anything about their bumpers; car already had OEM Aero bumper when I purchased it.

I have been down this road and it has taken me a long time to finally get what I wanted.
The first and best option is the OEM aerokit front bumper, albeit the most expensive BY FAR. As the OP showed, the best price I've seen is just under $5K before shipping and painting, easily another $500-750. On the bright side, installation is a snap. Also comes pre-drilled for the lower lip.
I originally opted for the GT3 TEK poly lower front bumper add on. Caught it on sale several years ago for sub-$400. Another $150 for painting. Attaches to the bottom of the original stock bumper. Installation was fairly straightforward. End result was pretty good, but didn't really look that much like the OEM aerokit bumper. Too aggressive, but I decided to live with it.
After a few years and never really being satisfied, I began to look for a used aero bumper. I found out quickly they are few and far between. Just missed out on a couple, but finally found one last year from a RL member. Shipped to me and painted for about $2150, including the lower lip. Perfection!
Bottom line, if you want it quickly and correctly, bite the bullet and buy new. If you want to do it for cheap, be prepared to wait for A WHILE.

Either way, it looks like OEM.(Except for the missing "Made in France")
Repainted and new factory decals:
I have a brand new Porsche Gurney Flap to add to it, but it came without any adhesive.
Once I figure out what to use, I'll install it too.

I've been searching as well. Prices are insane! This one has been on ebay for a bit but is pretty beat up and they're still asking $2200. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-996...cAAOSw2dJfaizX

Use the 3M double sided tape made for auto body applications. Comes in different widths and thicknesses, and it STICKS...

Your paint shop did a really nice job! I must've had a perpetual brain fart yesterday. Yes, both of our wings are MAShaw. Michael and Getty Design share a shop - not sure if they are partners with their own unique designs? I would imagine the quality being identical since they were both being made under the same roof. I fixed my original post; it's been a while and what I remember was the address and building, which has a big Getty sign in the front.

No problem.
Interesting that they share a shop.
Glad to know Getty quality is good.
They have some pieces that MAShaw doesn't have.

Be careful with fleabay, some folks mis-identify what they're selling.
