    Hi Scott,

I thought I responded to your email, but it did not look like it went through. I am not familiar with the "Carnewal GT exhaust hack. But I can tell you what I had done which seems similar. I purchased a set of used 2003 996 mufflers and had Hergesheimer MotorSports in Lake Forest, CA cut them in half, gut them and then weld them back together. I was very very pleased with the results. The mufflers were much lighter, sounded incredible (not loud but more like a Lamborghini sound), and I believe (based on me experimenting with various aftermarket products) actually increased low end power and torque. Unlike other aftermarket mufflers which many sound great, they always seems to affect low end toque. I would highly recommend this modification. Afterwards I added a set of Cargraphic 200 cell cats which even better increased performance and sound.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Pmkazz,

Saw a post that indicated you are familiar with the Carnewal GT exhaust hack and willingness to share some details.

If you are stilling up for sharing, I'm very interested in this mod. and either doing it myself or having a local shop do it for me to prevent extended down time.

    I have an '06 Cayman S.

    Many thanks!
    Scott
