Isn't there an x51 oil scavenge pump that helps the high g pressure drop, also I'm sure I saw a thread where someone was also making a modified scavenge pump cover to replicate the x51 pump , also is this the best route to solving the problem, doesn't the high g keep the oil from draining back to the sump and stays collected in the head ?

I believe the X1 adds a 3rd pump, but I think 4 head pumps are ideal, along with improvements in the swirl pots. And by the time that’s done, you still want a deeper sump and AccuSump, not to mention racing oil.

The X51 pump sits on top of the passenger side pump and sucks from the front of the passenger side head. It's basically two pumps stacked on top of each other. It's purpose was to avoid pooling in the front of the head during hard braking in a left hand turn. Together with the X51 sump plate/baffles this was dropped on the later 997 X51 kit.

I've seen someone produce(or maybe just built a one off) replacement pump.

I used to have pressure drops but not any more. The combination of new chain tensioners, scavenge pumps and full oil solved that. I see I forgot to mention in this thread that my chain tensioners are new and I think this also important since if they leak they add to the pooling in the internal space.

Sorry the world let you down, Marlinspike.

Next time we'll try harder to maintain your interest.

Hate to see this thread, Jason's thread on Oil Pressure Stability, and Skips threads on the UAOS and UIDS get lost.

Too much good information and experience with testing different configurations with cooling and aos usage. He'll, Chris' back to back 8 hour races in the Boxter without a dry sump system was enough to get anyone of us thinking.

Further, Skips UIDS could be a game changer in many ways.

My wife tells me I need to develop other interests than oil starvation and oil pressure stability. But call me crazy, are we not a few steps closer to further mitigation?
