I haven't read every post so forgive me for asking if it was said but is the motor stock or did u build it up any?
Thanks!!! I'm excited to see more of your updates! The LS1 bottom end is stock, factory 90k mile LS1 rotating assembly. I also put in a Tick performance SnS cam, 243 heads, Fast 92 intake + TB, Holley fuel rail, LS3 injectors, and updated it to the LS6 pcv. It's also got about $2000 worth of fittings on it for about 20hp.

Thanks! Seems to be working so far.

I appreciate that info! I'll look into that soon. I was under the impression the DME is searching for a signal from the motor, or maybe I left off a ground somewhere. The DME is there, so the fuel pump should fire as normal but it doesn't. I don't have the wire from my LS harness connected, I am wanting the fuel pump to run with key forward. I might wire in a ground switch if it's the case you're saying.

Yes, the assist spring. I may just be overthinking it. The clutch pedal bolt that's attached the pedal itself that mounts to the brake pedal assembly doesn't thread in all the way, it has about 1/4" remaining to be seated when fully tight. I don't know why. I bought some spacers to make it work for now but haven't installed them because that's not the correct way to do things. The pedal spring slams the pedal down to the floor when the brackets and pedal are all in correct position, with the exception of the 1/4" standoff above. Something is not right...it's a pedal from eBay for 996 and appears to be correct but I'm a newb to 911s!

Ehhh, thanks haha. I think one might be leaking. I'll probably pull them out, redesign them the way they should be, then fix it. We'll see when I can get to that! Damn Jeep has been taking all my time, plus the weather has been pretty good and I have a couple other new toys. Just bought a RTT for camping with my Raptor and some new beadlocks for said Raptor Gonna be a fun summer in that truck!

I never saw this - thank you! It’s taken longer than I wanted but at least it’s on the home stretch!

The new headers MIGHT be done next week. Crossing my fingers!

Sorry for the delays, I've been swamped. First set of headers are bent and tacked up. This set is going to the east coast for fitment on a few 997s and a 996.2. The second set will go to me to fit to my 996.1 and verify fitment before we produce the other sets. I've ordered my Dr. Gas mufflers and will be getting the 180 degree bends and turndown tips soon.

Anyone have a good source for stainless steel turndowns?

Would CPE be an alternative to Stuttgart Muscle?

Stuttgart Muscle makes all the adapters that CPE uses. Just go straight to the source.

Thanks, looks like their products are flywheel and mount are very similar?

No problem. Andrew's kit is very well designed and put together and he makes it easy to order by having the clutch and other components separate on his store if you need to replace anything. I have Andrew's motor mounts and they went together very easily. I wish I would have bought his adapter.

I know CPE is developing clutch kits to hold high horsepower applications and that's a big deal for guys running high end LS engines or forced induction. So you can get:
Adapter - CPE or Stuttgart
Mounts - CPE or Stuttgart
Clutch - CPE or Stuttgart
Pedal mount - Stuttgart
Harness - CPE
Power steering - CPE

Whats left

Exhaust is beautiful man. Cannot wait to hear a clip. Here is a pic of the exhaust I have on my LS3 powered C2. Good luck and keep up the good work!

I actually make the TRW pump brackets as well, I will be supplying to both CPE and SM. I'll be coming up with premade hydraulic steering lines to convert the car to electric power steering and will only need a couple holes drilled to do so. I believe CPE has a pedal mount now too.

Thanks! Your exhaust looks good, I like the crossover and center exit.

I remember coming across your thread on ls1tech, didn't want to get my hopes up (a lot of promising conversion threads fizzle out) but here it is almost ready to drive! I've always had dreams of doing this to an early 996. Yes, 180 degree headers included but my pipe dream had a short stroke 4.8 crank in an LS3 and 8000RPM capable valvetrain. Glad to see someone realizing it.
